Show Me How was a participatory drawing project co-created by artist Meaghen Buckley and myself. In this project we asked participants to share a skill, trick, recipe, or instruction through drawing. In exchange, the participant could take home a copy of someone else’s drawing, thus learning a new thing. At the end of the project, we performed some of the skills (including drawing a sunset, making ice cream in a plastic bag, and writing in calligraphy.
This project was done at ie; gallery on Granville Island, at Characters Bookstore in the community of Marpole, and at VIVO media centre.
